MONOCULARS
The major difference between monoculars and binoculars is that the former has the capability of letting you view things that are actually at great distances as if they were very close to you. In fact, with these devices you can see the image in proper orientation because it uses a pair of prisms which is unlike in the case of a telescope in which images are actually inverted.
Monoculars are very popular amongst hikers and even golfers as well as of course, bird watchers and one of the reasons why this device is so popular is that they weigh very little and they are also easy to carry. In fact, if space is at a premium, then you need to use monoculars ahead of a pair of binoculars.
Of course, you will only be able to use a single eye instead of both eyes much like when using a telescope though if you wish to view an object that is stationary then this is the proper device to use.
